As you make your 2014 new years resolutions this year,
spend some time in the "midst of mediation."
The Prophet of the Restoration, Joseph Smith,
declared that revelations, or moments of clarity,
came while "in the midst of [his] meditation".
As you begin to create a vision of yourself in 2014, find a quiet place and begin to ponder.
(Elder Knusdon. Sacred Grove. Palmyra NY)
Ponder who you are, who you have been, and you who want to become.
Remember that "[you] can do all things in Christ who strengtheneth [you]".
"When it comes to living the gospel, we should not be like the boy who dipped his toe in the water and then claimed he went swimming. As sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, we are capable of so much more. For that, good intentions are not enough. We must do.
Even more important, we must become what Heavenly Father wants us to be".
Dieter F. Uchtdorf. Of Regrets and Resolutions
